Crossbow Point (155 & 175 Crossbow Place)
Crossbow Point consists of 2 low-rise condo buildings each with 54 units located at 155 and 175 Crossbow Place. Zoned for residential use only (for an explanation of zoning types click HERE) these condos can not be rented out on a nightly basis like many of the hotel-condo complexes in town. Owners can however make their units available for rent on a long-term or monthly basis. This particular complex is also restricted to residents who are 40 years old and over.
The amenities building at Crossbow Point is known as the Fireside Lodge and is one of the most elaborate and nicely appointed in town. The shared space consists of a small library, board room, theatre room, pool tables, fireside lounge, shuffleboard, lounge area, indoor pool, indoor/outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna and exercise room.
Condo units in Crossbow come in a wide variety of finishing packages offered by the developer during the original construction. Square footages are generous with most 2-bedroom units offering 1100-1300 of living space. The average sale price for a 2-bedroom condo in 2017 was $477,000.
Crossbow Landing (150 & 170 Crossbow Place)
Given that there are no age restrictions on residents, Crossbow Landing tends to be the more desirable of the 2 complexes and perhaps the most desirable residential condo complex in Canmore. At the beginning of 2018 the condo board began the process of making interior design selections to renovate the hallways and other common areas and midway through the year it appears as though they are still gathering feedback from owners.
There are a variety of different floorplans available and the third floor consists of larger, 2-storey layouts in 2 or 3 bedroom formats. Of the 13 2-bedroom condos that have changed hands in the past 12 months, the average sale price is $485,000.
